Comfort

You give me comfort.
When all I can see are grey skies, you make my smile shine bright again.
In the dark, every time I start to feel fear you tell me you’re right here and to hold on and lean on you.
You give me comfort.

When I want to lose faith you hold onto it and me.
Telling me without words that you have my back.
You give me comfort.
I love that you would do anything to make me smile.

You give me comfort.
I know for you and me, we are the real deal.
From day one you have had me and my heart.
I guess you could say you had me every day you said hello to me.

You give me comfort.
When I can’t see the silver-lining you turn on the light, and I forget the clouds altogether.
Your words of support and love always center me.
You anchor my heart to yours and I know I am home instantly.

You give me comfort.
You give me comfort to know how much you love me.
And I hope I bring you comfort in the same way.
