danger thrives in all of us
feeding on our very desire
resistance is futile
death is inevitable

rainbows show us the way
our dreams collide when we wake
time is our only friend
days go by

life fades in and out
our emotions make us hollow and numb
chances are better left untaken
fear our only ally

days go by
as we drift through time
taking up space
an endless loop
