External Shine

unicorns and fairies

Where are you hiding the key?
Let me have a quick peek inside
I wanna discover what’s on the other side
How sweet it’d be to see the creatures created from your innocent glee.

Oh please let me see!
I bet there are a dozen unicorns dancing and prancing with pride
What about a hundred pixies sliding down streams like little kids enjoying big water slides?
I can’t imagine a better place to be.

How many times do I have to say no?
Nobody will ever see what’s roaming around this mind of mine
I threw away the key a long time ago
I am tired of hearing you beg and whine.

There is more to my story than you’d ever know!
You’re just blinded by my external shine
So quit asking before you become my foe
Anybody who dares to step inside comes out with more than a broken spine.
