Happiness eschewed around you
Aromas of home cooking
Pretty little baubles
Plucked flowers in your hair
Yet things are always chaotic
Memories of the good and bad
Ode’s to the one that you love
Taking a moment to pay respects
Hoping to see them smile
Earthly scents filled the room
Roses covering the counter
Smiles gracing all faces
Drama has gone for just a moment
Awaken and start the day
Yearly once, it comes and goes
