I hate to see her declining with age.
It’s subtle, but I see the change.
The way she falters going up the stairs,
or how she moves with a little less flair.
I treasure the time that she remains here,
even knowing her end might be near.
We go on more car rides now,
and other adventures
when time allows.

I hate to see her slipping away.
It breaks my heart knowing she can’t stay.
She will forever be the best.
As her dog mom,
I am truly blessed.
