You
When I see you
Do I see you?
When I hear you
Do I listen to you?
Am I the only one here?
Is it all my reflection?
I want to break the mirror
but the mirror is my reflection,
When I break it
I see another me
watching me
I don’t want to be alone.
I want you to join me.
Come through your mirror,
Let me pass through to you.
How is it possible?
Where the hell are you?
“I’m in your heart.”
Said the voice
I reach you through my heart.
That’s a new way of thinking.
That’s a new way of being –
Being with you tastes so good
I can’t have enough of you.
I can’t reach my heart.
It’s full of selfishness and imagination.
I can’t see you.
“Reach within,”
You said.
I go deeper and see clutter.
I go further, and it smells of decay.
Where are you?
“I’m in there. Keep looking.”
You insist.
I close my eyes and open myself to sensations.
I feel you in the dark.
I feel your fragility.
I sense you’re reaching out to me
and I gravitate to you.
When I touch you with the tips of my lips,
the clutter turns into majestic beauty,
the decay flourishes into a garden,
Your garden,
I’m a guest inside my heart.
“Welcome,”
You say.
I’m with you,
I whisper incredulously.
“With me,”
You echo.
You’re in my heart
“I am your heart.”
How long have you been?
“Always,”
You say.
And I didn’t know,
“You didn’t ask.”
You say.
Come out to play,
“Let’s play here.”
You say.
In my heart?
“I’m your heart.”
You say.
Are you my heart?
“I’m your heart.”
You say.
There’s nobody outside?
“Nobody.”
You say.
It’s all in my heart.
“Yes.”
