They were at it again. Looking through their window again to see what I was doing. It was ten o’clock in the evening and I just came home from work. It was always the same thing every night, they would stare out their windows at me until I had to close my window shade.
This time I had enough! It was a muggy evening and I was exhausted from a long day at work. I put on my sneakers and I headed out the door. I really need to know why?
Why was this creepy couple always staring at me through their window? Why were they always invading my privacy? I could call the cops on them, but I decided to face them myself before I called the authorities.

“Is anyone there?”
I did another knock. This time, a bit louder. No answer. Just an uncomfortable silence. There was a moment when I decided to put my hand on the doorknob. I inadvertently turned the knob.
I slowly opened the door. The knob felt cold like no one has touched it in a while. Once the door was fully opened, I was met with a cold breeze.
The inside of the home didn’t feel like much of a home. It was empty. It felt like there was no living soul living in the house. No pictures, no furniture, no plants, just an empty shell. After standing in the middle of the empty room, this really made me wonder…who has been watching me from this home?
