The birds call out in harmony for the morning to awake.
Drowsy legs stumble to start the day.
Suits and trimly cut gowns grace the bodies of the soldiers,
All marching in unison to get daily bread.

It’s halfway through the day and chins are propped up on palms,
Eyes gaze in lost focus as the minds’ wheel turns,
It’s the perfect balance of regrets, wishes, and decisions.
It’ll all be worth it in the end, right?
At least, that’s the hope that maintains the day’s routine.

Now, the evening of life approaches.
She leaves her mark on man as grey hairs and wrinkled smiles
Plant themselves confidently.
Our focus begins to change,

It swerves from worrying about closing business deals
to appreciating little family moments.
What’s the point of it all?

The reward of all life’s toil,
Reflects boldly in the smiles of our beloved.
