An Interview With Time

The image is of a fawn twilight sky sitting over the setting sun and a grey cloud band, which could be interpreted as a 'Timeline.'

Time is impossible to tie down,
and has me totally spellbound.
Time wears an invisible crown,
and interviewing Time — of such mystical renown —
did send my Grammarly nouns into lockdown.

Time has no need for a manager,
and carries no passengers.
Finally, after turning on surround sound,
Time gave me the lowdown.

Time flies without sight,
nor owns the sound of light.
Time does not hide behind a screen
and never makes a scene.

Time hears no commands
and does not need a schedule.
Time is not sentimental,
and is not pretentious or grand.

Time silently rolls by,
without hearing our sighs.
Time does not tell lies
and knows true love never dies.

Time is here and now.
Time is the universe’s eternal vow.
