clip clop, clip clop
don’t let the sound betray
that steady beating rhythm
of the horseman’s handy work

tonight is the night
the most ‘evil of nights’
the time when the spirits wander free
and the ghouls return to earth

you better make sure that the curtains are drawn
and you’re not alone tonight
for those that go off gallivanting
might just lose their head.

everyone knows that its never safe
to be caught alone on all hallow’s eve
that night when he returns
to find the thing most dear he lost
