Do Butterflies Symbolize A Deeper Meaning?

Butterflies are such beautiful creatures, but what does it mean when you see different colors of this creature or even just see them around you in your everyday life?  The life cycle of a butterfly in itself is almost magical, and they are so graceful and beautiful. They are the representative of nature in a beautiful way. Butterflies represent spiritual rebirth, transformation, creativity, endless potential, vibrant joy, change, ascension, and an ability to experience the wonder of life. If you’re seeing butterflies, you may want to ask yourself what changes you’re needing to make to live more in alignment with your authentic truth.

Many people believe butterflies represent something more than ourselves, almost like a spiritual being. They are also known as a form of guidance throughout this life, even though the butterfly’s life is short it can help guide us through the roughest patches in our own life journey. I love butterflies and I have been seeing several of them lately, so it made me wonder what exactly does this beautiful creature mean in my life? I did some research and the answer is very interesting.

Some believe a butterfly is considered a “power animal.” Each of these “power animals” is considered to bring spiritual messages depending on their strengths and different qualities. For the butterfly, it represents changes in your life that may be happening now or changes that are about to occur in the near future. If you are in the middle of drastic changes the butterfly can also appear to let you know that everything is going to be okay and it will all come together and work out in the end. If you believe in a higher power such as God and angels, as I do, the butterflies can represent an angel or deceased loved one showing you that everything will be okay. Obviously, none of these theories have been proven but if you believe in things you cannot see these are very good explanations.

Different colors of butterflies also symbolize alternate meanings. The different colors have different meanings and energies behind them. The main color of the butterfly will determine the main message and the other additional colors will help to clarify the meaning of the message. Some examples of different colored butterflies and their meanings are:

Yellow: This color of butterfly can represent joy and fun in our life. It may mean that someone new is about to come into your life and your life will be full of happiness.

White: This color of butterfly means innocence and that you may need to clear your mind for quiet time and personal thinking. It may mean an angel is trying to connect with you on a higher level. It can also represent peace or a recharge in your spiritual or personal energy. Starting new is another representation of this colored butterfly.

Orange: This color butterfly symbolizes excitement and passion. It means for you to stay positive and the outlook will be favorable.

Black: This color of butterfly means you need to let go of something or that something in your life is up for review. It can also mean rebirth or a meaningful transformation that will occur in your life.

Blue: This color of this butterfly symbolizes good energy, honor, and acceptance. The color blue represents calm in your life and can also be seen as lucky.

The last thing I wanted to know was what does it mean if a butterfly lands on you. It means you are about to enter into a new phase of your life or a loved one is directly reaching out to you. When this happens you need to stop and just be still.

Whether you believe in these symbolic meanings or not it is a very interesting subject matter to discuss. I have always loved butterflies and have not seen many since I was a child, yet recently I have been seeing them frequently and once I started to look into the “why” of this I  was very impressed with the answers and excited that a new phase of my life is going to be taking place, that is according to the butterflies that I have been seeing in my own personal life.
