Remember those days?
When mudpies and
Stick figures
Were all we needed
To feel alive

When playing tag
Duck duck goose
Hide and go seek
Became a part of us
That was inseparable

It was our life
Everything in youth
More than what
Video games could
Offer in pinky promises

Remember those days?
When being young and
Having fun with friends
In fields of grass
Mattered more to us

Than becoming slaves
In a modern dystopia
For our safety
For our health
For the good of others
