Thirst

Nothing to say.
Too much to say.
Pen to paper is
Like a glass to my mouth.

Sometimes I don’t realize
How thirsty I am
Until water touches my tongue.
I drink

Liquid spills all over.
I don’t care
I’ll clean it up later.
The water refreshes

My throat
Banishing dryness
Igniting a voice.

My voice.

Lisa Post

I am a wife, mother of 7, student, and writer. I love to write fiction, poetry, and humorous non-fiction. In my spare time, I love to quilt, read, and drink lots of coffee and oolong tea.
