Unbalanced
Your movements
debauched but steady
precise like you are
always at the ready
But your actions
are now instinctive
you blend right in
with the crowd
Your social cues performed
with perfect precision
no one even notices
the undiluted shell you’ve become
Your balance is off
you are struggling
to find your center
your feet are
not touching the ground
And like a pendulum
you swing
with every feeling
your core surrounds
The humming is eminent
the push is real
direction unclear
blocked by uncertainty and fear
You must make a move
so you step off – but
where are you going
when everything seems dark
No none even sees it
None of them really know
you are struggling
to find your balance
and your feet no longer
touch the floor
