What Is Music?

There is a piano shown in the image along with a music sheet that lies slightly atop the piano, faint shadows shown underneath the paper as well.

Soft beats, soothing melodies, emotions at their finest.
It’s not just an array of sounds; it’s a story being lived,
Feelings released, passion shared with the world.
It’s the melody your mother sang to lull you to sleep,
Passed down for generations across time,
And the heavy metal blaring
From the window of a passing Camero.
Music is an escape from reality,
Allowing us to forget anxieties caused by society.
The rhythm of beating drums, strumming strings, and tapping keys
Calms our bodies and soothes our minds.
Through music, we express ourselves,
Find relief from sadness, and pose queries like
Why the hell is this world so flawed
When it’s full of so many beautiful people?
It’s deep thinking, looking inside yourself to yank out the raw emotion,
And transfer it to the blank pages to create a perfect match of lyrics and melody.
Music is more than the glorification of sex and drugs,
Or the dehumanization of women alongside boisterous nationalism.
It’s a reflection of a shared past, a connection between souls,
Guiding others to avoid the mistakes you made once or twice.
Music is a powerful tool, not to be neglected,
An art crafted from the heart
Demanding sacrifice, commitment, and soul-searching,
And when it’s perfected,
It’s the most enchanting thing you’ve ever experienced.
