I felt the pressure.
Sliding on this slope as I hold on tight to my faith while trying to fight my fear.
As I have gotten older, all I want to do more and more is be that little girl again.
I was oblivious then to what the real world had in store for me.
This pressure shakes me from the inside.
The anxiety begins to play upon my heart like a drum bouncing back like an ecstatic band.
You sent me a song.
Tears pool in the heart and eyes
A song from someone who knows the struggle helps me keep my grip.
You still help me stay steady with your love for me.
And as I continue to stand my ground against the unknown and fear,
I know all I have to do is turn to you.
To me, that is a beautiful thought.
“I knew you would like it.” You said.
To me, it was so much more than just a song.
I heard the song tell me it was okay to let the tears flow.
If I slide, you will be there to hold me back from the edge.
I know that my heart and I are more than safe with you.
Knowing you are there to help and hold me against the weight of the world is all I need.
So let the unknown come.
I’ll be okay because you’ll be with me.
