Chain with frozen ice on a blue background

pieces ripped apart
torn and shattered
jagged and chained
it’s all the ways
my heart ended up
the beauty in the dark
the lies in your eyes
it’s more than i can take
even when i try
maybe i was wrong
thinking that you cared
were here to build me up
not rip me in two
yet with every passing word
my world changes once again
and we are no more
what we used to be
change longer angers me
it’s become a dear friend
yet when i least expect it
It seems to linger still
pain is all i know
drama and grief
your best weapons yet
fear and subjugation
former enemies now friends
release me from your hold
quit making me fall
i don’t want to be here
standing on this ledge
wondering for a moment
if falling is the way
to escape it all
or just another way
to let you win
