sadness

sometimes things happen
that brings out the sadness
but there is always a silver lining
a path at first hard to find

when one door closes, another opens
difficult to see, blinded by our emotions
the promise of something better is always there
though sometimes hidden

you might have to look for a while
but you’ll eventually find that door
and when you do, be sure
to walk right through it
