Off to work on school assignments.

God forbid I have a life.

All college ever does for me

Is bring me stress and strife.

All I ever learn here

Is how to view my grades with fear.

I learn how to fabricate the truth.

I learn to be deceptive and tell lies.

To lie is sinful,

Something scripture tells us to despise.

In the name of some degree,

a certificate of knowledge,

all to please my family.

Is this enough for them?

Perhaps it is not.

That’s ok with me.

My happiness is not in their hands.

It is up to my command.

It is time for me to choose to be free.

Existing is enough for me.
