An array of yellow maple leaves cover the surface, taking up the entire space as if to show you face to face with the perfect leaf pile.

Crunching leaves,
The smell of burning firewood,
Spooky decorations painting the streets everywhere I go.
The crisp-cool heart of autumn.

Beach days turn into cozy evenings inside,
Wrapped in a fuzzy blanket, hot coffee in hand.
They become movie nights with friends watching
Halloween-themed classics while snacking on popcorn.
Every introvert’s dream come true when the first leaves drop.

The time of year when everything seems to slow,
When I notice how beautiful the world can be
While it’s shedding its greenery for a warmer color palette.

A time of utter peace, spreading around town like the smell
Of a cinnamon-apple filled breeze. It puts a smile on my face
The moment I catch a whiff of that comforting smell.

If I could, I’d live in the tranquility of fall for the rest of my days.
When I’ve got such a beautiful season to admire,
Everything else seems miniscule.
A mystical everyday escape from reality.

Fall is the center of my heart.
A whimsical soul mate that I’ll
Adore until my last breath.
