Make Me Yours (A Poem)

The nights find me heated
Molten
Feverish desire raking through
Leaving me breathless
Leaving me wanting

Turning until my sheets rumple
Dreams with visions of promise
Sweet tormenting promise
By the gods save me
From this burn

I can’t shake it
The intensity of it all
Sending me into a tailspin
Out of control
Until I’m beside myself

Longing for the salve
The cool balm to help me
Save me
From this personal hell
Burning

Your eyes
Touch
Giving each to me
Bring me the aloe
To sooth and comfort

Thank you
Thank you
I long it to be this way
When you
Make me yours
