Monrovia
With the sun shining bright,
The grass is always green,
The plants are always in bloom.
Neighborhood kids are playing,
The game of Hide N’ Go Seek.
The young ones are running,
Through waterfalls from the ground.
As the sun goes down,
The streets go quiet.
That is until,
The big kids come out.
Play all night,
Sleep all day.
The shadows with weapons,
Are in the alleyways, waiting.
At the end of the night,
And beginning of the day,
The Wildcat mascot stays proud.
Wild but tamed in many ways,
No city compares, to Monrovia.
