True Love’s Song

Words can never express
How with one swift move
You capture my heart
And steal me away

From the day I met you
To the days that follow
I knew with you beside me
I was safe and finally home

From the moment I saw you
I knew there was nowhere
I could ever go without you
For you are my everything

Thinking about pure love
That you have for me
A restless soul like mine
It brings me to my knees

My hands tremble
At the thought of your touch
As if your hand upon mine
Is enough to tame me

My inner core
The moment you look
Into my own eyes
Sees into my own soul

No matter if the world
Were to spite us both
To make us outcasts
Among the loveless

I would share a lifetime
My soul and everything
With you by my side
Then to face it alone

With all said and done
As I lie my head
Upon your chest
Tucked within your arms

It is more than anyone
Will ever ask for
As my heart is yours
My one and only
