There is a chill in the air
Crisp and fresh
Scented with pine
Soft sounds of the world falling asleep

Winter calls to us
Beckons us to start anew
To sleep the pain of the past away
And awaken fresh

It sometimes seems like the world is frozen
In a moment in time
The white that covers the land
And the ice that hangs from the trees

Underneath it all
Are new blooms waiting to sprout
To show the world that even through the harshness
Beauty can once again grow
