Distance- A Poem About Change

The corner of a book- with the words, "Yearly Planner" at the top of the open page- is visible from the left side of the frame. The book sits on a white background. Above the book is a golden pen.

My dreams are a different world now.

My reality is much the same.

A surprising year. It made us distant.

It’s become normal, my reality-

My reality is the same.

It didn’t change much. I lost no one.

But is this normal now?

All I enjoy is virtual now.

These days, distance is relative.

A surprising year. Distance made us.

The Wi-Fi is bad. The games are good.

My days are distant now.

Scarlet Noble

When not playing video games or adding to her ever growing TBR, Scarlet Noble is writing her heart out. The stories in her head come alive when she puts her fingers to the keyboard on her laptop. Her greatest dream in life is to be a published author.
