Never Saw You Coming

I never saw you coming that day.
Instantly, talking with you felt as natural as breathing.
I never saw you coming, but I did nothing but hope and pray you eventually would someday, and here you are.

Imperfect, and beautiful-all for me to love with my very last breath.
Who needs to say, “I do” when that’s a given?
I never saw you coming, and now I pray for that day when we share the same space in a room.

Your arms, around me in a loving embrace put it all in perspective for me.
During the day, the light of your presence
That  leaves a glow lit in the same room our bodies will finally share.

It will be the envy of any screen that once did that for us.
If the butterflies in my stomach never leave, may our love be them a utopia to fly free forever?
May our golden years paint memories that withstand us long after we are gone.

That’s where the true beauty of life lies, so why not let our love story be its companion?
The only thing  that it will start and end with the both of us together for forevermore.
In the beginning, I never saw you coming.

Now, I can’t wait to see where we’re going together.
The destination will be beautiful, regardless, as long as I am with you.

So, if your love story starts out with someone you never saw, coming, let your heart take that leap.

It could very well lead to a very real love story that you, never saw coming toward you.
That love story was made just for you by God.
For those are the very best kind of love stories…
