Serenity
I seek after
Thy nature
The calm
Inside of me.
The peaceful
Waters,
Beckon to me
In moonlight.
“I am no
Jesus, or
Holy saint!”
I protest.
“Trust me,”
Is all I
Hear, as
It calls me.
I relent,
Giving in,
Reaching
The shore.
The water
Laps my
Feet, as I
Dare not stray.
Let it cleanse
The filth
Inside of me,
Like holy water.
Let it be
My baptism,
As I tread
Water.
“To the point
Of no return,”
I pledge onto
My pitiful self.
I dive in,
Deeper,
Deeper
Into the sea.
“To the point
Of no return,”
I vow onto
My meek soul.
Letting the
Peaceful
Waters
Drift me away.
