The Dream, The Dreamer (A Poem)
She is The Dreamer
Of fiery lock and hazel orb
Looking into the distance with an eager eye
Upon the horizon she sees
And oh, she saw
The Dream in which The Dreamer wanted
Yet it was not to be
Or perhaps just not right away
It clouded the Dream over
Blown from view
Only allowing to long from remembrance
Each day pushing It away
Until The Dream was no more
What was real?
Indeed, the pain from a mistake
Not just once, but twice
Wishing and longing and wanted
The Dream, that Dream to be
But The Dreamer had to let it go
No more, the chance has passed
Like the Autumn leaf it fluttered away
Crumbling into the Void of a passing season
Drawing the bitter winter snow in its wake
Shivering cold across the territory
Had The Dreamer stopped her Dream?
Did she give in to the dark seasons?
Into the new tomorrow
Tears like spring showers sliding to bring life
Once again to the barren land
That The Dreamer lost
For yes even The Dreamer can loose
Slowly the green stalk of hope pushes upwards
Sprouting with the loving shine of lessons learned
Hope, shows again
Waking The Dreamer to what can be… again
Shaking away the snowy fields
Into rolling hills of healthy bliss
Finding again that Dream lost once before
So here now it is here
She has it back to the warmth of embrace
Babies breath and heather love
Strong in the summer sun
The Dream to live again
The Dream is now
