To experience true growth
Feels like your body
Is too small for your soul
It has nowhere to go
So it must adapt
But it hurts to do so

What do you do
When you want to
Make a lasting change
Forming new habits
Is no easy task
It doesn’t happen in a day

So you work through the pain
While maintaining your smile
In secrecy, you let down your guard
The every growing discomfort
That comes from the process
Of trying to mend your heart
