The image is of an old bookcase which sits in the corner of my favorite cafe

I’ve been staring at the café’s bookcase,
Searching for the moments
My words have failed to find.

Maybe they are hidden in the ice chest,
Under the ice cream and
My frozen manifest.

Or perhaps my journal
Is grinding to a halt
Inside my rusty storage vault –
Where nostalgia has no fault.
