What are your hands really for?

What are a pair of hands true purpose?

My hands are there to hold you at your weakest;

to hold you at your strongest.

Turn my palms into cups so that they catch the tears you shed.

My fingers will act as ties to keep you from going to pieces; when the pain arrives.

When a cold fog hits and the ghosts and memories drift in,

I’ll do whatever I can to help you fade them out.

I’ll make sure your laugh lines, shadow any haunting memories of pain.

My hands will act as anchors of protections, they will always be open to you in love.

What are your hands really for?

What is a pair of hand’s true purpose?

My hands are for your shelter and protection

for when the bitter-cold world leaves you with a bitter taste in your soul.

I promise you that my hands will always hold you up.

My hands will hold on tight to you.

If you fall, I fall.

We will fall together.

And when you feel like the ghosts of your past are pulling you under,

I’ll be there to pull you back to the surface.

What are your hands really for?

What is a pair of hand’s true purpose?

I know what my hands are made for.

They were made to hold you.
