Game Of Choices

New chapters in life are both exciting and terrifying. My best friend and I are currently house hunting. I’m thrilled to be getting a house where I don’t have to worry about a lease renewal, and my roommate and I can remodel the house to fit our needs. The next place I move will be my home for the next 5-10 years. This being said I am terrified about making the wrong choice.

What if we make the wrong decision and things change so that the house doesn’t fit us anymore? No one can predict the future. Newton’s third law states that every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

Life is the same way. Every decision we make affects the course of our lives. A new job brings new work colleagues. One of those colleagues could play a very important part in your life. The problem is, unless you’re psychic, you just have to trust yourself that you made the best decision.

It’s natural to have doubts, and it’s natural to wonder what your life would be like if you made different choices. I’m lucky to have an incredible selection of homes. I can see myself in any of them. It will just come down to which house best suits our needs.

Every choice teaches us something. The important thing is that we learn from our poor choices to make better ones in the future. We shouldn’t dwell on the choices we didn’t make for too long because then we risk missing out on more opportunities. Life likes to throw curveballs, and that can be frustrating at times. The important thing to remember is that your current problems will hopefully be insignificant in a few years. Life is a game don’t let yourself obsess over winning so much that you get played.
