Halloween
Graphic by Keely Messino

The following is a collection of “Bite-Sized” scary stories. A perfect treat for Halloween.

Trick or Treat
The trick or treaters will love these homemade caramel apples. I used caramel chopped nuts and razor blades.

Dismemberment
I found several dismembered mice in my basement. I don’t own a cat.

My Son
I don’t know what to do anymore. My son keeps killing stray cats and drinking the blood: any advice, fellow Moms?

Invisible Friend
My kid keeps telling me about her invisible friend. She tells me the lady can take her legs off and that her clothes are covered in blood.

Ouija Board
I got an Ouija board as a Halloween decoration. I placed it in the middle of my coffee table. And now, I’m sitting on the couch watching the planchette move around the board all by its self. It’s spelling out “H E L P.” Anyone know the name of a good paranormal investigator.

The Heart
People often tell me that I have the heart of a child. They are correct. What they don’t know is it’s in my freezer, along with the eyes and kidneys.

Halloween Candy
I went to the store to get Halloween candy. The store was practically out of candy. All they had left were circus peanuts and black licorice.

I Miss My Girlfriend
I really miss falling asleep next to my girlfriend. I would happily sleep beside her if there was more room for both of us in her coffin.

New Boyfriend
I’m happy to have met my new boyfriend. I’ve been really lonely since the last one escaped.

In My Bed
I felt someone crawl into bed with me last night. I live alone.

My New Puppy
I found a puppy last night while I was walking home from work. I bought a new cage for her. It breaks my heart because she cried all night. She keeps telling me she wants to go home, and that she’s wearing a Halloween costume.
