Awaiting the rapture

What to this breeze for a mortal like man

Conquering mountains, as best we can

What to this shiver the winter will bring

Foraging snow, what goodness will bring

What to this home that I have kept quaint

When seasons bring turbulent summers and spring

What to this path currently on

Will bring you now safety, when life is beyond

What to this culture nation of greed

Will my children live, when lost to the sea

What to this storm, brewing inside

Many lives are awoken yet dangerous signs

What to this precipice, that we now stand

The earth laid below, daunting remand

What to this valley seeming so calm

Yet soon the ground shakes, and all will be gone

What to this world I can only now ponder

Will we be alert, as the spirit then wander

What to this sentence, will you take to heart

What road will you take, before you can start

What to this ending will make it suffice

Will patience you bring, lead us through nights

What to this calming, stream of good nature

Will you take as truth, from neighbors yet strangers

What to this world do you take with pleasure

Not a single iota, awaiting the rapture
